Primary Therapist

Katelyn is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #164349) and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC #23120), practicing under the supervision of Dr. Kyle Glover (PSY34924).

Originally from Joshua Tree, Katelyn now calls San Diego home. She earned her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from California State University, Fullerton, and her previous clinical experience involves working with adults in residential substance use treatment with co-occurring mental health challenges.

Alongside her clinical work, Katelyn has spent the past four years working in a research lab examining attitudes toward and stigma surrounding substance use disorders and treatment. She has presented this research at various conferences, and this experience has deepened her understanding of the barriers individuals may face when seeking support. She is passionate about reducing stigma and advocating for greater understanding, compassion, and representation within the substance use and addiction community.

Katelyn’s therapeutic approach is grounded in the here-and-now and incorporates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, cultural humility, client-centered therapy, and holistic approaches. She works collaboratively with clients to better understand their emotions, identify patterns that may no longer be serving them, develop practical coping skills, strengthen relationships, and move toward a life that feels more meaningful and aligned with their values. She views therapy as a collaborative process and is committed to continuing to expand her clinical knowledge and integrate different therapeutic approaches to best meet the needs of each client. Her interest in psychology has also taken her around the world, including opportunities to travel and study psychology in different countries, her favorite being Berlin, Germany.

Outside of her clinical work, Katelyn enjoys reading, playing guitar, attending concerts, exploring nature, and spending hours playing fetch with her dog. She values curiosity, connection, lifelong learning, and creating a therapeutic space where clients feel understood, respected, and supported as they work toward meaningful and lasting change.
