Anaheim Mental Health and Addiction Treatment

If you’re looking for Anaheim mental health support that’s personalized, evidence-based, and community-driven, you’ve come to the right place.

Whether you’re navigating a mental health diagnosis, facing the challenges of addiction, or feeling overwhelmed by the weight of it all, you don’t have to do it alone. Oceanside Recovery Centers and Mental Health, also known as ORCA Mental Health, offers a safe and structured environment for men seeking meaningful healing.

Located in Oceanside, CA, our program welcomes individuals from across Southern California—including Anaheim—who are ready to take the next step toward lasting recovery. With specialized care that addresses both mental health and co-occurring substance use, we’re here to help you rebuild from the inside out—at your own pace, with the support of people who truly care.

Why Choose ORCA Mental Health?

Healing is not a one-size-fits-all journey—especially when it comes to mental health and addiction. At ORCA Mental Health, we provide compassionate, men-only care designed to support lasting change. Whether you’re struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, or substance use, our programs offer both structure and flexibility, helping you regain control of your life in a setting that respects your pace and honors your experience.

We believe healing doesn’t happen in isolation. That’s why we partner with JBI Housing to offer supportive housing and foster a strong sense of community connection, encouraging clients to engage in group outings, sober events, and shared activities with other local treatment programs. From beach days to gym sessions, we know that recovery is stronger when it’s supported by real relationships.

As a trusted provider in Southern California, ORCA Mental Health is in-network with TRICARE/TRI-West, making our services more accessible to veterans, active-duty military, and their families. Our integrative model blends talk therapy with experiential and holistic approaches, ensuring every aspect of a person’s well-being is addressed.

Programs and Levels of Care Offered

Our tiered treatment options allow for a tailored experience, meeting each client where they are in their recovery:

  • Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP): Structured daytime programming with clinical and therapeutic support, ideal for those needing intensive care without full-time hospitalization.

  • Intensive outpatient program (IOP): A flexible treatment option that supports ongoing work, school, or family responsibilities while still receiving robust therapeutic care.

  • Supportive housing: Optional sober living accommodations in partnership with JBI Housing that provide stability, accountability, and a sense of community during treatment.

  • Inpatient: For those needing more comprehensive, round-the-clock care, we offer connections to trusted inpatient partners as part of a coordinated treatment plan.

These levels of care work together to create a seamless program that allows clients to move between programs as their needs evolve.

Therapy and Treatment Approaches

While our primary focus is mental health, we also specialize in treating co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, using a wide range of evidence-based and holistic approaches, such as:

  • Clinical therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) help clients gain tools to manage symptoms and heal core wounds.
  • Holistic approaches such as mindfulness, yoga, red light therapy, and sound healing help restore balance and regulate the nervous system.
  • Specialty therapies, including biofeedback, ketamine-assisted therapy, and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), are available to address treatment-resistant symptoms and deepen emotional processing.

At every level, we focus on whole-person healing—physical, emotional, and social—because true recovery extends beyond symptom relief.

Who We Help

Our programs are thoughtfully designed to support:

  • Men struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and/or addiction, including those with dual diagnoses or treatment-resistant conditions.
  • Veterans and active-duty military members, with care that honors your service and addresses trauma through culturally competent support.
  • Individuals early in recovery who need structure, community, and a safe space to reset their mental health foundation.

Wherever you are in your journey, our team is here to meet you with empathy, experience, and the tools for lasting change.

Anaheim Mental Health FAQs

Both PHP and IOP programs offer structured, therapeutic care, but they differ in intensity and time commitment. PHP typically involves attending treatment 5 to 7 days a week for several hours a day, providing a higher level of support for individuals needing daily care without full hospitalization. IOP, on the other hand, offers a more flexible schedule—often 3 to 5 days a week for fewer hours—making it a good fit for those coming from higher levels of care or balancing recovery with everyday responsibilities.

Program length varies depending on each person’s needs, goals, and progress. Some clients may benefit from a few weeks of focused care, while others stay for several months to build a strong foundation for lasting recovery. At ORCA Mental Health, we tailor treatment plans to support sustainable healing—there’s no one-size-fits-all timeline, and we’ll work with you to determine what’s right for your journey.

It depends on the form of treatment you are undergoing. For intensive treatment, such as inpatient and PHP, you may need to take a leave of absence from your job. However, with outpatient services, many of our clients continue working while enrolled in our IOP. We can accommodate various schedules to help you balance employment, family responsibilities, or school commitments while still receiving high-quality care. If you need additional time off, we can also support you in navigating leave options with your employer as part of our holistic approach to recovery planning.

ORCA Mental Health is more than a treatment center—it’s a supportive, men-only community grounded in compassion, integrity, and innovation.

We offer evidence-based care for mental health and co-occurring substance use, along with holistic therapies like mindfulness, yoga, red light therapy, and sound healing. Our clients often say the community itself—the group outings, peer connection, and sense of purpose—is what makes their experience truly transformative.

We’re also in-network with TRICARE/TRI-West, making us a trusted choice for veterans and active-duty service members seeking care that honors their full experience.
